3D Workings - Week 1
This blog is all of my 3D models I've created within the first week, whether it was asked for or something I created on the side.
During week one of working on 3D, we are asked to create something that resembles a lamp or desk lamp in Auto-desks Maya. This was something that I felt completely comfortable with as this and ZBrush are programs that I've personally been using for over nearly 7 years. During the session I was able to help people create their lamps and help them understand the program. During this session I created a lamp of my own (shown below) which took me up to 10 minutes. I've personally never delved into asset creation as I normally tend to stay towards the creation of characters and environments but this was something easy and fun. The lamps shown below were not proper renders, they are just screen grabs as we have not been taught how to render yet and I don't want to jump the gun by doing full definition renders if they want more work done to the lamp. So for the time being here are some natural screen grabs.
Aside from this my other 3D workings I've been doing are primarily in ZBrush. My first creation was a bit of anatomy, the fist. The images shown below are final renders of the fist, although the model wasn't finished. I gave myself a time limit of 2 and a half days to complete this to the best of my ability. The time spread was not as good as I thought, I wished to do better but with the time restrictions I was just trying to get the concept across. I will be limiting myself to try and do one of these a week in the hopes that I become faster at this level of modelling rather than taking my time with everything which is never the case in the industry. My goal for next week is to improve on the lamp unless asked otherwise.
